The PsychEd Report is AI Report Writer’s psychoeducational offering—built for school psychologists and evaluators managing growing caseloads, tight IDEA timelines, and report-writing demands that crowd out the prevention and consultation work only you can do.

Features

The PsychEd Report is built directly into PARiConnect and powered by AI Report Writer, PAR's closed, clinician-controlled report-writing platform with no external model training on your patient data, ever. It turns your assessment data and documentation into a structured, editable draft. Scored PAR results flow directly into the report, and results from other assessments can be uploaded too. More information about the platform.

Feature list:
  • IDEA compliance, built in. Dedicated sections for Federal IDEA Eligibility connect your findings to eligibility considerations-final determinations stay with the IEP team.
  • IEP Goals and Recommendations. Sample goals and instructional focus areas generated directly from your evaluation data, ready for you to align to each student's needs.
  • Behavior Support Plan. A structured starting point for behavior interventions, built from your findings and ready to adapt into a formal plan.
  • Diagnostic Considerations (Beta). Surfaces the diagnostic questions raised by your evaluation data—supporting and conflicting evidence, and what's missing or unclear—relevant to DSM-5-TR decision-making, flagging duration, impairment, cross-setting presentation, onset, and rule-outs for your review.
  • Action Plan and Recommendations. Short-term (0–3 month) and long-term (3–12 month) actionable supports for classroom and home.
  • Your assessments, already there. BRIEF2, RIAS-2 NU, AAB, FAM, FAR, FAW, ChAMP, SEARS, EDDT, FACT, and more are directly supported from your PARiConnect account—so scored results flow straight into your draft with nothing to re-key. You can also upload reports from widely used assessments by other publishers, including BASC-3, WAIS-5, WISC-V, WIAT-4, ABAS-3, CTOPP-2, and RCMAS-2.
  • Written the way you need it. Choose tone—Professional, Parent-Friendly, Positive-Focused, or Technical—and detail level—Concise, Medium, High, or Comprehensive—so every draft already sounds right for its audience.
  • Refine without rewriting. A report generates once from your uploaded files; from there, every section stays fully editable. Revise wording and formatting directly, or regenerate a section using expert-engineered prompts—written by school psychologists for school psychologists—or your own instructions, each time drawing fresh from your original source files.
School psychologists spend an average of 25 hours a week writing assessment reports. The PsychEd Report is designed to save you up to 6 of those hours every week—almost a full workday back for your students.

Secure by Design.

Student PII is de-identified before AI Report Writer ever processes it and restored only when you download your final report. The PsychEd Report is FERPA and HIPAA compliant, housed entirely inside PARiConnect—never a third-party AI environment—and compliant with SOC 2.

  • FERPA-compliant, built for student education records
  • Native PAR integration—no re-entering scores by hand
  • SOC 2 compliant
  • No customer or client data used to train outside AI models

Your Questions, Answered

From how de-identification works to what file types you can upload, get clear answers before you get started.

Is my data used to train the AI model?

No. Data submitted through AI Report Writer is never used to train or improve any AI model. AI Report Writer runs on a dedicated private deployment of an AI language model hosted on Microsoft Azure. Under Microsoft's Azure OpenAI terms, your data is not available to other customers or to OpenAI, and is explicitly prohibited from being used to train, retrain, or improve any generative AI foundation models. Your data is processed solely to generate your report and is handled in accordance with Microsoft's Azure data processing commitments and PAR's privacy policy.

What information is sent to the AI?

When you use AI Report Writer, the documents you upload are converted into a tokenized, compressed format before being sent to the AI. This may include content from:

  • Score reports for psychological assessments
  • Parent and teacher interview notes
  • Background information and reason for referral
  • Behavioral observation notes

This information is used only to generate the report for that session and is not retained or repurposed.

How is my data protected?

Uploaded documents are tokenized before processing—meaning the content is encoded and compressed rather than transmitted as raw text. AI Report Writer operates through a private API connection, separate from publicly available AI services. Your data is never visible to or shared with other users or organizations.

What assessment tools can I use with AI Report Writer?

AI Report Writer supports a wide range of assessment tools from both PAR and other test publishers. For a comprehensive list, visit the Supported Assessment Tools page.

What PAR reports are supported by AI Report Writer?

Note: a report can only be initially generated once. After generation, you won't be able to add documents or change report settings, but you can refine sections as needed before downloading the final Word document.

How long does it take to generate a report?

Generating a report may take up to 20 minutes, but typically takes about 5-10 minutes.

How does AI Report Writer protect sensitive information?

  • When viewing reports online, AI Report Writer replaces sensitive data elements, for example, a client’s name, with a non-sensitive substitute, called a token.
  • A token is simply a random string of numbers, symbols, and letters with no meaning.
  • A person’s name, such as Susie Smith could be replaced by this token, 6f7%gf38hfUa, in the online report. Or Susie’s address could be displayed as XXXXXX1234.
  • Once you download the final report to your computer, your report will once again contain original data elements.

Is AI Report Writer aligned with APA best practices?

Yes. AI Report Writer aligns with APA best practices across the following areas:
Transparency & Informed Consent

AI Report Writer is designed to support, not replace, your professional judgment. As the APA notes, even subtle AI use (like grammar suggestions) requires transparency and clinician awareness—especially for more substantive assistance. With AI Report Writer, clinicians maintain full control over content inclusion, editing, and final interpretation.

Bias Mitigation

APA emphasizes the need to evaluate AI for bias and equity risks. AI Report Writer has been rigorously evaluated and validated against psychological assessment standards prior to deployment, minimizing bias and preserving test integrity. Every section of the generated report is available for clinician review and revision, ensuring culturally and contextually accurate reporting in line with APA’s call for critical human oversight of AI-generated content.

Privacy & Security

APA reminds us that protecting sensitive data is non-negotiable. AI Report Writer is HIPAA and FERPA compliant. All personal health information is tokenized meaning that all sensitive information is replaced with a random string of characters when viewed online. Only when you download the final report to your personal device is the protected information placed back into the report.

Human Oversight

APA clearly states: “AI should augment, not replace, human decision‑making.” AI Report Writer generates draft text based solely on clinician input. You control the information that goes into generating the report and then have the opportunity to review, edit, and augment the final report.

Accuracy & Integrity

APA stresses the importance of verifying AI-generated content. AI Report Writer has been rigorously evaluated to ensure high accuracy in reporting. However, final responsibility—and clinical judgment—always rests with the professional using the tool.

  • AI Report Writer uses a dedicated private deployment of an AI language model hosted on Microsoft Azure and accessed through a secured API. Under Microsoft's Azure OpenAI terms, your data is not available to other customers and is never used to train or improve AI models.
